Txomin, an unemployed Basque archaeologist, is commissioned to carry out a study case on Mars. With his brother Gene on board, they leave Eibar on an adventure through the north of Spain. Gene's fragile health and a toxic mist that mysteriously appears make them turn off the road and go to his sister Mila.
The reunion of the three awakens old family reproaches as Gene's health deteriorates. With the help of some ghosts and Jesus Christ himself, the two brothers decide to finish their mission and reach Mars.
